This was taken from a track stand demo but try tinkering with standing more then trying to drape your body over your bike. Often a big part of people’s aversion to standing and technical downhills relates to their inability to stand up, be stable and be able to move their bodies separate from the bike. Start with slow speed stuff and the big air, crowd pleasing confidence will come.
