After many years of happy usage with Ergon I have gone, with the Trek Canada crew, to a new company that has been supporting racing in the USA for several years now. Ergon also supports racing in USA, was super good to me and I have nothing but good things to say about their products and, especially, the people riding and promoting the products (Super thanks to Jeff Kerkove)
In any case, ESI Grips was founded in 1999 by Gary Stewart. Gary had raced moto cross and ridden lots of bikes and used his ingenuity to create several ingenious products to enhance Mountain Bike Riding comfort and performance. Read about the Company and Gary’s story/products here.
I particularly like Silicone MTB grips because they are light and can be matched to the color of your bike. Being light and looking good are key to success. More importantly the Silicone allows for grip in all conditions (even without gloves, if you run things Emily Batty Style ).
ESI Grips are available at a store near you and are worth a look next time you have a bike to outfit with fashionable and functional grips.
